Despite that, and despite knowing exactly what was going to happen, I was on the edge of my seat during the final chapters. This story is all about family ties and unbreakable bonds of loyalty. I liked Bullitt, especially the famous car chase but I fell hard for Bonnie and Clyde. The reality of their brief and catastrophic lives is very different -- and far more fascinating.

They weren't actually extraordinary at all, but the context of their lives and the success of their myth are pretty interesting, and Guinn does a good job of describing that context--cultural, social, economic--while detailing what is known about their lives.
